Six Degrees of Separation

I believe.

Last night was the ultimate example of that. I went to the Pine (the local bar where I always get free drinks. I spent 5.00 on a 1.50 beer last night and all the rest of my beers were free. Sometimes it's great being a girl), and I sat next to a couple guys from the area.

I got to talking to the guy sitting next to me about where I went to school. He went to DE also, but graduated the year I entered. He's also an engineer, and he said that he was tired of engineering and was starting his own company. I mentioned that my sis was the same type of engineer, and she was starting her own company. He said, 'what's her name?' I told him her first name and he answered with my last name. I started freaking out! Wouldn't you know, they work for the same company, and this guy hangs out with my sister more than I do. It was so random. He was visiting from Bel Air for the game. What are the odds?

Of course, we are going to play a trick on my sister. He's meeting her on Thursday, and he's going to give her a cheese grater (long story) and tell her to give it to her sister. Of course, my sister is automatically going to know it's me for two reasons. 1) She knows I don't shop and wouldn't feel ashamed asking someone to get one for me if they're going to the store and 2) She knows I talk to random people all the time.

I can't wait until Thursday night when she calls me and asks how we met.

Even though the Ravens lost, I was so happy when I got home. I met someone that knows my sister, and I had free beers all night. Can't beat a night like that.
