Argyle and Corduroy

I was talking to Freebird the other day (well, commenting through blogger-close enough), and I mentioned that I would love to buy something argyle, but I know as soon as I buy it, it's going out of style. Now, I'm never the most stylish person. Well, I'm never stylish. I just have tons of basics that last years and years, but I'm really freaking out about this argyle.

This is how obsession works in my head. I had that conversation the other day. Then I got a new Jcrew catalog in the mail. They know that I only like to buy their stuff in the winter, mostly sweaters, but it's getting a bit brisk, so they sent me the catalog. What do you know? There's a lady wearing a yellow and pink/beige, argyle cardigan sweater over a button down shirt. Hmmm..I could wear that, and look pretty cute in it. Then today at work, a lady was wearing an argyle sweater. I think it's my destiny.

In the meantime, I'm still obsessed with corduroy. I bought 4 pairs of corduroy pants last winter/spring. Last week, I went to Old Navy looking for some cute tshirts like the ones I bought in March, and of course, they no longer sell them. I did see some lightweight corduroy pants, so I bought two pairs-olive and beige. I can't believe they had my size. I think it was because I was in the store right before the back-to-school crew came through. I can never find 2L at that store.

I think I will love corduroys forever. I can't wait until they're worn in the knee, and I can put a patch on them. I guess I could put a patch on them anytime, but I'm into authenticity, not that fake "worn" look.

Maybe I should be obsessed with socks. When the elastic at the top doesn't stretch anymore and they look like Mama's knee highs (from Mama's Family), it's time for a new pair. HA! I kill me.

All I Do Is Work

I really don't have much going on.

Oh, I bought a cool, aluminum, burgundy walker for Mom-mom yesterday. I hope she likes it. Some other lady at the place has one, and she wanted one. I guess the cool people at her assisted living place have them. Mom-mom is a Jones. hee hee.

I got my bill in the mail from the courthouse in the middle of nowhere VA where I got a speeding ticket the last day of June. I guess my appeal letter didn't smell of perfume when they received it. HA! I have to pay 86 bucks. It's cheaper than going down there, spending the night, showing up for a 10 minute hearing and driving back 8 hours. I'll live. It still kind of sucks, though.

Tomorrow I actually get to run my first study. I don't know how many people remember biology and agar plates/petri dishes, but I'm doing a temperature study on a tank of agar. No one knows how hot it is, or how hot it stays before they fill the tubes, so I'm doing a test on it, and will know. The worst part is I have to be ready to start at 6:30. It takes me 1/2 hour to get to work, and then I have to set up my equipment. The good part is that I'll be able to roll out a little early. I'm excited about my project though. Yes, I am a geek and proud of it. You did see my Rocky picture, right? Ok. Stop laughing.

My unemployed brother, age, 25, is planning on moving to FL with his buddy. I guess his buddy has money because my brother doesn't have a dime. I'll believe it when he calls me with a Florida area code.

Tomorrow night is Wednesday-movie night. I'm getting a bikini wax too. I really like getting them, although it's weird when it's happening, but I like the results. The only movie I have is North by Northwest, so if no one else has anything better to watch, that's what we're watching. Unless, Ryan doesn't watch the USA/Germany basketball game at 6a tomorrow morning. We might be watching that. I wouldn't mind seeing Dwyane Wade tomorrow night.

I think that's it on this end. Maybe I'll think of a good story to tell you guys.

Drunk Monday

Going to work hungover on Monday morning is not a good idea.

I went out to dinner last night to this bar/restaurant called Friends. It's in the city, and I love their grilled asparagus. I know, it's weird, but I do. I got there, and not one place on the menu did I see it. I ended up drinking two beers and eating 5 potstickers. The chef didn't really cook them right, but whatever. I just needed to eat something. I wish they had a good dessert. The only thing on the menu was cherry pie. Blech!

I was talking to the bartender about this other local bar that my old friend Diane hangs out now. We lost each other's numbers, but I figured I'd swing by and see if she was there. I was almost finished drinking my beer, and she and her bf showed up. Hip hip hooray. Of course, by now it's 10pm. She wanted me to stay for another beer, and I told her that I had to drive, and I didn't know if I should. I called Ryan to see if he was around, and he said he was. This other bar is about 4-5 blocks from his house. He was home, so I told him I'd swing by later because I didn't need to be driving all the way home. After two more beers with Diane, I had to go.

I checked my phone and MHS had called me 3 times asking me when I was coming over. I didn't get the message. Later he was mad that I didn't call him to go out with him. I always keep my phone in my purse, and I never hear it ringing. I finally showed up around midnight, and Ryan, MHS and their other buddy were watching something on tv. I was closing my eyes on the couch, so I have no idea what it was. Then, they started watching Lucky Louie (this weird/funny show). I was laughing at some points, and I didn't even know what was going on. I asked Ryan if I could stay over, and of course he said yes. :) Oh, here's a funny. In the middle of the night, I turned over and I felt something weird. I didn't know where I was, and I kept touching the weird thing. Then I opened my eyes, and realized I was poking Ryan in the head. I guess I thought I was at home. Oops. hee hee.

So, I stayed, woke up at 5a, got home, took a shower and some Advil, and went to work. I was so unproductive. I sat at my desk staring at a document that I wrote for about 2-3 hours. hee hee. At one point, I thought I was going to yak. I rushed to the bathroom and someone was in there, so I just stood in the stall for about a minute, and then left. I don't throw up in front of people. I'm better than that. After that scare, I finally made it back to my desk and drank some water and felt much better.

No more Sunday night hang outs with Diane. Friday and Saturday are cool, but Sunday is a no go. Now I'm starving and I still haven't had grilled asparagus.

Why I Love The Peeps I Link

I haven't watched JJ lately since the new season hasn't started, so I thought I'd write about each of you. I'm just waiting for the Ravens game, so I have time. I hope after reading this you all feel appreciated. It's my good deed of the day. Sorry if I wrote something you think isn't true. I did my best.

Yankeebob-He got me started with all this nonsense. He's really funny and I love reading his posts. Although he never gets really personal, his posts are fun and always interesting. I miss working with him too. Work will never be the same.

Adam-Now, our monster friend is a hard nut to crack. Sometimes he will have you crying with laughter over some silly little thing, and other times he'll make you think. HARD. He's a good (heh) guy, and he means well. Stop by sometime.

Freebird-I like Freebird because she gets to the point and there are no holds barred (or whatever that phrase is). She's my Mexican connection, and that's cool. Her posts are always great reads. She usually puts up a cartoon on Friday (although today she didn't), but one thing you can't say about her is that she's boring. Want excitement and drama that never stops (and it's never her fault)? Go by her place.

Terra- The only way to describe Terra and her blog is f*ing hilarious. She says the most random things, and a lot of times you have to be in the know to get ALL of what she's saying, but it works. She takes amazing pictures, and she's just a ball of hormonal joy. HA!!HA!!

Beergirl- The Beergirl doesn't post as much as she used to, and I miss her, but she's an advertising person and LOVES beer. I am definitely not the beer connoisseur, but I was able to share a beer with her that I liked and she ended up liking it. That really made me happy. She has a dog with a face only a mother and I could love, but that's another reason why she's cool. No one ever wants the silly looking dog. hee hee.

Cindy Lou- Cindy is pretty random as well. One day she's talking about fudge lovers and the next she's talking about I don't even know what. Most of her posts are quick tidbits, and she only posts on the hour or half hour. She has OCD about that. What's not to love?

T Hates Stupid- T has left us, so I need to clean up her sidebar. I wish she didn't go.

Jamy- Jamy's site is 'Grateful Dating.' After every post she says what she's grateful for. It's neat. She takes her time writing her posts, and you can tell that they are well thought out. She makes even the most mundane things interesting. She's single and a rower (I don't know if there's a real term for that), and she has an 'Ask Jamy' column every week or whenever people write in. She reminds me of myself in some ways, and I think that's why I like reading her posts. Of course, she takes her time posting, and I just blab about whatever. She's one up on me.

Pixie- Pixie is a nursing student. I haven't REALLY quite figured out her personality just yet, but she has some great posts. She recently went to Alaska and the pictures were spectacular. I have never seen a picture of her, and I couldn't even begin to tell you what she looks like, and that's what is intriguing. For some reason, I just like reading about her life. And she just passed her Procalc class, so three cheers for Pixie.

Platinum Girl- PG rocks. She's the friend that will be there whenever you need her. 100%. She loves Sierra Nevada and she is married. Every post of hers includes food. HA!!HA!! I love food, so it works. She cooks dinner every night and hates that so many people don't cook. She has stepdaughter and I think that's really cool because if I had a stepmom, I'd want her to be like PG. Ever since she got her promotion, she's been super busy, but when she does post, it's well worth the read.

Abstract Amy- I like reading Amy's blog because she's always so torn. She has tons of friends and she hangs out a lot. She's 24, I think, and that is the age of FUN, FUN, and more FUN. She just recently started getting more personal on her blog, and sometimes you can see that she's not who she always seems on her blog. It's a great mix of emotions. Oh..YB and I were clicking on random people's links one day, and I saw that she had me linked. I felt bad, so I immediately went to her blog and was like "HEY! How come you didn't tell me you linked me?" We've been BFF since then. hee hee. Not really, but it's cool.

Betty-Where to begin. Betty has been a million different people from one day to the next. Betty is the one that's always completely honest about everything. She'll tell you she cried, she'll tell you she had a "monthly" accident at work (HA!!HA!! That was a good post), she'll tell you that she drives around for hours at night with no destination in mind and not care. She posts a lot, so when no one else is around, you can always count on Betty. Not to be a total perv, but her son, The Monkey, is the cutest boy ever. EVER. If only I was five, and lived in TN. *sigh*

Alaskan Amy- Amy had to go to a new site, so I have her name here in spirit. That's all I'll say.

FunkyBee- DC in the HOUSE! hee hee. Funkybee is our local businesswoman who also has a day job. I think she's the person that wins the friend count. Or..she's the person that wins the 'always drunk with friends' count. hee hee. She loves her martinis, and The Sweet One. Her posts are always fun to read. She's about to get married, so there is a lot of talk about that, but I like her because she's pretty, fun and creative. I wish I had one creative bone in my body. Her cubicle at work is pink. How lucky is she?

Little Eyes- LE's my girl. I have talked to her on the phone, so that's sort of real life. hee hee. LE is so sensible and smart. She's a writer, and she writes short stories (sometimes even scary ones) and is trying to figure out what to do with her life. I have to give LE props just because she is not afraid to be herself, and she does what she needs to do. Put up or shut up. If you are looking for something to do in your spare time, check out her stories. I'm telling you, one day she's hitting the big time, and we'll say we knew her when...

Single Guy- The single guy had to go on the downlow for a while as well. He has a new girlfriend that he just adores. He loves the Red Sox and the Giants. While I have no comment on either of those teams, his posts are very insightful. A lot of guys don't talk about their feelings, but the Single Guy does, and it's always interesting to read about love and dating and stuff from a guy's point of view. To me, he seems a little sensitive when it comes to relationships, but I think that only because I've read about his feelings. It's really a Catch 22, but SG is all man.

Krystyn- Krystyn is very unique. She loves flip flops and NYC. She's been to NYC about 4 times this year, and she goes to shows all the time. Gotta love a girl with culture. She is in grad school studying, I want to say psychology (I think), and she is recently engaged. I like reading her blog because she uses a lot of different colors, and she's good at talking about her emotions. She is a sensitive person and sometimes I think wears her heart on her sleeves, but that's why I like reading her posts. I never have my heart on my sleeve (what heart?!), so it's something different. If you want an honest blog to read, swing by. I want to say heartfelt, but that sounds a little mushy, and she's not mushy. She's just a girl with great intentions and she cares about everybody around her.

Peeved Michelle- I should change the name to 'The Peevery', but I won't because I don't feel like it. I'm giving Michelle all the credit. I love The Peevery only because the people she "hired" are so funny when they discuss their peeves. I'm not sure if they write them to make people laugh, but at least once a day I'm laughing at someone's misfortune. I love reading about other people's peeves. I don't know that I could listen to it all day, but reading it on my time is the way to go.

Single Girl- This is a girl in NYC who gives dating advice every day. She runs a dating business and has events in the larger cities. Sometimes it gets a little routine, but I'm such a nosey rose that I like reading about everyone's dating questions. A lot of times, I think 'Did these people even read what they wrote? If they did, they would already know the answer.' But..that's the type of girl I am. The problem solver, not the empathiser (empathizer?).

Wendy in the City- I think I found Wendy through the Single Guy. She just published a book (I didn't buy it), and she just finished her grad school degree. She is funny because she writes just like she talks (that's an assumption). She will talk about how she has no job and should really start looking, but she'd rather go drinking with her friends, or riding her bike. She is very physically fit, but she won't run in a race to save her life. Oh, she lives in Chicago. I don't know anyone in Chicago, so I have to keep the connection in case I'm stuck on my motorcycle in traffic and need a place to stay. :)

Stream-o- I keep this just because I haven't cleaned up my sidebar. The idea was great, but Surburbite, the guy who started it all left the blogging community, as far as I know.

If you made it through this, we both need lives. HA!!HA!! Have a great weekend.

Smarmy Salespeople

I had some guy come over to the house yesterday to give me an estimate for new windows. He was a nice guy, I guess, but I hated the way he did things. We sat at my dining room table, and he's telling me about his background, and how long the company has been in business. Then he starts looking at my stuff. He notices that I have a pack of matches on the table right next to some incense and mentions 'Oh, I thought these were mine, but I see it's yours to burn your incense.' I said 'Yeah.' Then he was asking me if I went to college, and how old I was. He was 60. I told him that it's rude to ask women their age.

I know he was just asking me all that stuff to find out more about my financials, but it's none of his business. The price he gave me was 5500 for 14 windows. I think that might be reasonable. They have a 6 month deferrment, and can "work with me." I told him that I'll be calling several other people to get estimates and he's the first person that I called, so we'll see what happens.

I just hate that he was looking at all my stuff and all in my business. I guess that's what they teach you in sales school.

What is Wrong With Me?

I own two white short sleeve shirts. One is a v-neck and one is a crew neck, and they are basically tshirt material.

I'm an usher at church now, and we're supposed to wear black and white. I hate wearing white because I always ALWAYS spill something on it.

Two weeks ago, I was rushing to get ready and I thought, 'hmm..maybe I'll wear some lipstick today.' I couldn't get the top open (shows how often I use it), and as I was pulling, the side with the lipstick slid out and made a mark right under my tit. So...I kind of smudged it, and went on to church. HA!!HA!! Later that day, I put makeup remover on it, and saved the day.

Tonight I wanted to wear a white tshirt under my Motor Maids shirt (I was showing the guys in my moto. group our uniform), but I couldn't find my other white tshirt. Oh, there it is, in the dirty clothes hamper. I pulled it out and put it on. It reeked! hee hee. I thought 'Should I just wear it anyway, and call it a day?' I finally decided to wear a white tank top under my shirt. I guess it's time for me to go to the store and get some white v-neck undershirts and maybe buy a nice white shirt or two. Who owns only two white shirts? This is just the start of my problems.

I Took a Ride In a Bi-Plane!

I have to download my pictures in the very near future, and I'll update this post, but yesterday a few guys in my moto. group and I rode up to Bethel, PA to the Golden Age of Air Museum. They offer rides in an old-fashioned, open cockpit bi-plane. One guy and I took a ride for 1/2 hour and it was awesome!!

We did 360 degree turns, and when I gave the pilot the thumbs up symbol (which meant I was enjoying myself), he started doing serious dips like on a roller coaster. Of course, I wasn't expecting it, so I started screaming. Good thing lunch was after the ride! The guy I was with thought I was getting sick. He kept yelling 'Are you ok?' I couldn't laugh or scream. I was just quiet, but I told him I was fine. Luckily we only did two more dips. I didn't give any more hand signals after that.

Once we landed the pilot said he heard me screaming over the engine noise and earplugs. I told him that I didn't think I was screaming that loudly, but maybe I was. We were in the air and no one could hear me. hee hee.

If you EVER get the chance, you have to ride in one of those planes. I got to wear the canvas helmet, and you'll see the picture in a bit. I look like Rocky of Rocky and Bullwinkle, but I'm fine with that.

Bob Dylan and Me=Oil and Water

Last night I was home watching whatever tv was on, and I decided to give Ryan a call to see what he was doing. The other day he told me that his brother was in town and he might go watch the O's. Well, it was 8, and the O's were winning. I called and he said he was hanging out at his parent's house for the evening. He invited me over.

So I got in my car and drove 45 minutes to his parent's house. They live in the woods and up a mountain and it was dark. I was thinking that I was a complete idiot for traipsing all that way to meet Ryan's brother (my cowboy boyfriend who lives in Wyoming), but I finally made it.

What a fun time. The parents were hanging out along with Ryan's two brothers and two of his friends, and the parents had a neighbor over too. I laughed and laughed. His mormon friend asked me if I was interested in being his second wife. I'd even get my own house. I told him I'd think about it. HA!

Then, the dad asks me if I was going to see Bob Dylan with the rest of them tomorrow (which is really today). I said "No. I'm not going to be able to make it." He asked why and I said shyly, 'Well, I wasn't invited.' Everyone started yelling at Ryan asking him why he didn't invite me to the concert. I told them that it wasn't a big deal, and I only know like two Bob Dylan songs, so I'm ok. They were all mad at him and Ryan said 'Well, you can still go if you want. We have tickets.' I didn't want to be an afterthought, so I passed. I think initially he invited the crazy girl that he liked, but she bailed.

We all watched the USA/Puerto Rico basketball game into the wee hours of the night, and I stayed on the parent's couch until 6am. I think I slept for 2 hours. I always leave really early when I'm not sleeping in my own bed. I feel weird waking up and still wearing my same clothes in front of others and trying to act normal and stuff.

Now I'm home again wishing I had gone to the concert. Maybe I'll watch a movie.

Grosser Than Gross

#1-Why can't spinach agree with me? I love it, yet, if I eat one piece, I'm off to the races. The worst part is sometimes I forget that I'm not at home and order something with spinach. Then I'm stopping at McDonalds or the nearest bathroom. Didn't you want to know that about me? hee hee.

#2-I made lasagna last week or whenever, and my nails are the longest they've been since last summer (they grow long in the summer only). So, I had some lasagna leftovers in my mouth, and I used my nail to get it out. I thought I had cleaned out the nail. Unfortunately, I didn't realize that I didn't until I wiped my ear. Talk about disgusting. Lasagna remains and ear wax. What a combo. HA!!HA!!

And yes, the lasagna had spinach in it. Tonight I had salmon pinwheels with crabmeat and flecks of spinach or spinach by-product. Yay for being home alone. :)

Another Survey

I've been swamped with training at work, so this will have to do in the meantime. Things are going well with me. I'm happy. I got my unemployment check on Friday, and I should get one more this week sometime. Perfect timing. My mortgage payment bounced, and they want to charge me 20 bucks. I had the money in another account and didn't want to transfer it. Sue me. I'm lazy. I'll be caught up in no time.

Enjoy the quiz. I stole it from Yoj.

Mom-Mom's New Digs

Yesterday Ed, my brother and I went to PA to help move Mom-mom into the assisted living community. She was a nervous wreck. She kept thinking about all the things she didn't have, or didn't pack. Of course, my mom had everything ready. Mom-mom even said "I didn't know I was moving in today," although she had called all her friends and let them know that she would have a new number and stuff. She's silly.

We got to the place right at 12:30, and about 10 of the older people were sitting outside enjoying the nice weather (it's been in the 80s here, which is great). Mom-mom's seating for lunch is at 12:30, so I checked her into the dining room while we moved her stuff into her room. Around 1:30 she came back to her room, and was happy about lunch. She said the food was good and she sat with three other people. When I dropped her off, I didn't see one other black person. It was just a bunch of old, white people. I have seen one other black lady in the place, but I didn't see her in the dining room. She may have been in the first seating. Anyway, maybe Mom-mom will be nice to these people and inherit some of their $$ when they move on. How funny would that be?? hee hee. Not that people are dying, but that they don't have anyone to give their riches to, and Mom-mom's in the right place at the right time. Fine..it's funny to me.

I think she'll be happy there, which makes me happy. They have yoga this morning at 9:30. I think Mom-mom will NOT be participating in that. hee hee.

I filed my last unemployment statement hopefully for life this morning. It's been rough getting up every morning and being productive. I have to get back in the groove of things. I have training on Mon/Tue, so I can sleep in a little. I'm looking forward to that.

I went to the Ravens game on Friday night and saw my old friend Diane who convinced me to get my motorcycle license. I hadn't seen her in a long time. She started crying from joy. It almost made me start crying, but there's no crying at football games, so I refrained. I hope we can catch up this weekend. I need some girl time.

Today, I'm off to church and then who knows what. I might wash my bike. It's really dirty.

Do radio dj's need degrees or even know how to speak English? The other day I was listening and the guy said something about a language called cryllic. As in acrylic nails. Then he said "Or Russian or something." Dude it's cyrillic. Just say Japanese if you can't get the word right.

*

A guy at my new job was talking about how he went to Austria and how everyone sounded like Arnold Schwarzenegger. Even the Filipino people spoke English with an accent. Then he said "Surprisingly, everyone in Europe speaks perfect English."
I'm sick of people in the US thinking that they are the only ones that know English. In MOST European countries, everyone knows several languages; English being one of them. I wish Americans would stop being so self-centered and get out of the country once in their lives.

How can one person watch so much tv? I don't mind TV, but when that's all you do, I have to start ignoring you. I don't care that 10 shows are on at once. I only want to watch one at a time.

Superbowl 2007

I've always had a "wish" to go to the Superbowl. I decided last year that I would be going this year. No one thinks I'm going, but I am. I have been doing some research and there's this thing called the White Glove Foundation that hosts parties for big sports events. Their party for the Superbowl is listed at $4000. You get a ticket to the game (upgrades available), a pre-game brunch at Don Shula's restaurant, a commemorative football, several of the players are going to be in attendance, and they have a lounge where you can play xbox with them (big whoop. I suck at all video games), open bar, a guest speaker, etc..

My aunt lives near the stadium, so I don't have to pay for lodging. I think 4k for a lifelong dream is a pretty good deal. So..I think I'm ready to take the plunge.

Oh and I heard yesterday morning that Prince is going to be at the halftime show. I think that even if I'm in the nosebleed seats, 20 miles away, I would love to see Prince. Maybe if I can mingle properly with people at the pregame activities, someone will offer me one of their good seats and maybe hook me up with a limo ride to the game. I need to go shopping! hee hee.

Great News Today

I received my letter from the unemployment hearing and the ruling from the Claims Specialist was OVERTURNED!!!

I am now qualified to get back unemployment. So, that's like 3400 dollars or so. MD is one of the lowest paying unemployment states at 340/week, and I was out of work ~10 weeks, so I'm stoked.

Of course, I'm calling tomorrow and yelling -GIVE ME MY MONEY!!!

I'm the happiest girl in the world right now.

My First Day at Work

Everyone has been asking me if I've been emailing mean things to people, or giving people the finger all day. I'm pleased to say that the answer is a resounding NO. I didn't have a computer and I broke all my fingers last night in a motorcycling accident. hee hee. Typing this is KILLING me with my nubs.

I went to training first thing today. I have two more training sessions next week, so that will be fun. At training I met a girl who works in the labs in another building somewhere. It was interesting how differently the six new hires were dressed. I was in business casual (that's what I wear every day), which consists of closed toe shoes (no rocks in the bottom. hee hee), a striped short sleeve button up shirt that's cute, and grey slacks with the pleats, and dress socks (yes, they have dog fur on them, YB!). The girl I met had jeans and a graphic tshirt on with her tattoo hanging out of her sleeve. There was a lady wearing sandals and a sleeveless shirt, a guy in a polo shirt with a huge briefcase, and another girl wearing shorts and sandals. Shorts and sandals?! In my line of work, I don't even understand that outfit. Perhaps she's in manufacturing/production. I have no idea.

So we learned how to use the computer and phone and whatnot-same old..Then I saw my boss and she was telling me that I'll be getting an AmEx corporate card for travel, and business cards, and whatever else I want. I suggested that I rent a mini-cooper for my traveling, and she said it was an option. HA! I think she loves me. hee hee. I do have to upcoming travel dates. In October, I'll be going to NJ and after that training session I get a raise, and then I'm flying to Nebraska with my old coworker that actually got me the job. Nebraska! Unbelievable. I'm all about it though.

You know how they say that you should never burn your bridges? Well, as I was walking down the hallway to see my boss, this guy that liked me at my old company comes strolling down the hallway. He said "Hey. How are you?" I think he didn't remember my name, but his name is Chris. I remember calling him CB for two reasons. Corned Beef and maybe his last name started with a B. I don't know, but Chris starts with a C, so close enough. He was pretty much just ogling me and making small talk. He is a total player though, so I'm not interested at all, but it was nice seeing him. Oh, we went to lunch one day to this corned beef place. I drove because he rides the bus only, and he didn't even offer to pay for my sandy. I didn't like that. He could've offered. I think all this went down right before I started blogging, but I'm going to check my archives and see if I talked about him. Anyway, whatever. I hope I don't run into him again. He makes me nervous. His eyes are telling way too much.

Like I said, I didn't have a computer, nor a phone, so I was texting YB in my spare time. I was supposed to be reading procedures, but you know how that goes. Yawnfest. We were cracking up. BUT..YB I haven't gotten paid yet, so I can't be spending all my money on text messages. Those Febreze noticeables are still at the top of my payday list. hee hee.

It was a great day. I am so glad to be a productive member of society again.

A Picture for Platinum Girl

I think you can click on this and make it bigger, so check out my cool nose piercing.
I'm with Ruthie in the picture. This is from my Motor Maids banquet in 2005.

I had trouble finding a good picture of me. :)

Happy Hour is Fun

I went to happy hour for a couple hours tonight. Josh felt bad, so all beers were on him. I had two margaritas instead, and I'm feeling saucy. Unfortunately, it's the end of my night and it's only 9pm. What a buzzkill. The O's were losing to the Yankees when I left the bar, but I was driving, so I had to be somewhat responsible.

If I get a call that some people I know are going to the Knotty Pine (the dive bar that I love), I think I'm heading out. I look too cute to waste the outfit that I put on at 5pm. I was in my nightclothes all morning/day. :)

YB-Hope you're loving the game. I heard Big Nan is also there. If you see her, I hope you spit on her (oops freebird-there's my evil coming out). And yes, if I could spit on someone without them knowing, I'd do it. You wouldn't have to tell me twice!

Definition of White Trash

After the bar closed, the three of us rolled into Royal Farms (aka The Farm Store, similar to Sheetz, Wawa, 7-11, etc..). There was one woman in there with the following:

A really bad bleached blonde dye job with stringy hair.
A dingy white racerback tank top.
A bright white bra with the straps out (that's how I knew it was bright white).
A khaki green denim mini skirt.
Bruises on her legs.
Some really big, pink slippers that might have been pigs at one time.
She bought Newports and little cigars.

Word to the wise, when your bra is cleaner than your tank top, wear a different tank top-or bra. HA!!HA!! I hate going to the Farm Store late at night. Sometimes it scares me.

All Good Things Must Come to an End

Today is my last free weekday until, um..Labor Day. I don't know what to do with myself. I'm a little sad, and want to be totally alone today. I hope no one calls me. I do have to call my new boss and confirm that I'll be there on Monday with bells on, but that's IT. No phone calls. Just movies, tv and reading for me.

I played chess last night at the bar. CHESS. I haven't played chess since I was probably 15. I kind of won. It was a stalemate and MHS committed chess suicide, so I won. :) I'll take it. At first I was totally the defensive guy, but then I made the move, and started chasing his king around the board. That was pretty fun. Then I started getting tired because 30-45 minutes passed and we were still playing.

I also watched the USA/Puerto Rico basketball scrimmage. We may have another dream team on our hands, folks. My boyfriend Dwyane Wade was amazing. Actually, our entire team played really well together. Keep your eyes peeled for these guys.

I made a huge pan of lasagna. I haven't tried it yet because I went out to dinner, but I'm pretty excited about my lunch for the next two weeks. HA!!HA!!

My Wednesday night fun turned into Thursday night fun, so all's good in my world today. Have a great weekend, peeps.

Oh Yeah!

Duckie forced me to change my peach picture, and I changed it in my profile, but it's not appearing on my template where it used to be. Thanks a lot Duckie. I hope you're happy with my comments now, because that's the only place you'll see it. Grrr...

Does anyone know how to fix that?

102 Degrees

The game was a 3pm game, and the gametime temperature was 102. The tickets were free courtesy to one of my old coworker's, we'll call him Josh, girlfriends. She had tickets for an air conditioned suite. Ryan and I were SO excited to be in air conditioning. Unfortunately, her company's bosses wouldn't leave the suite to go to their own box seats, so we had to sit outside (in the shade on the very top level). The O's lost 2-1, but it was still a fun time. No kissing or telling in public.

After the game, we went to Pickle's Pub, the bar next door, and couldn't get anyone to wait on us, so the four of us caught a cab and went to Federal Hill. Well, Josh got all pissy because the waitress didn't hear him order food (I didn't even hear him and I was sitting right across from him), so he pouted because we were all eating, and he wasn't. He got so mad that he totally left his gf and started walking back to my old company, where our cars were parked. I didn't mind walking, really, but I thought I would have some alone time. Nope. The girlfriend was the third wheel. I told Ryan that if I were Josh's girlfriend, I would have caught a cab home and never talked to him again. She planned to ride home with him, and she doesn't live close to the city. I offered her a ride on my motorcycle, but she was wearing cute shoes, and I didn't have a helmet for her.

So, we made it back to our cars (my bike), and everyone kind of split up. Ryan invited me to his house, but after sweating for about 7 hours straight, I didn't think it was such a good idea. hee hee. So, that was the game, and my fun Wednesday night.

I get my car back tomorrow from the shop.

Lunch Date + A Hot Date

I went to lunch today with my old coworkers, and we had a special guest of honor. It was YB!!! It was so nice seeing you today. I miss you. *hugs* and all that good stuff. We didn't get to chat too much because there were others there, and we couldn't giggle and laugh like we used to, but it was still a good time.

After lunch I got invited to go to the baseball game tomorrow with RYAN!! hee hee. He asked me on a hot date. I told him I wasn't sure, but now I'm sure, and tomorrow I'm going to the O's game against the Mariners at 3pm. I hope I'm not a sweaty mess(although I probably will be).

College, Musa, Bad Pizza-All In One Dream

I had another strange dream last night.

I was in Any College Town, USA, and I guess school had just started. I had been there long enough to have a couple friends' numbers, but a bunch of us were supposed to go out to the bars, blah blah. I was with some guy (I think he was blond, but I have no idea who it was), and we were trying to hook up with our other friends, but we couldn't find them. Of course, when you plan on having a long drinking night, you have to eat. So we stop in this pizza place. There was a line, so everyone is just ordering their pizza. When we get to the register to pay, our change was like 1.62 or something. The guy hands me the 62 cents and then points to two pile of pennies on the counter. 100 of them in one pile, and about 50 in the other. The piles have Canadian pennies and American pennies. I tell the guy 'You expect me to count all of those pennies in order to get a dollar? Why would you do that? They aren't even American.' The guy said "I didn't put that pile of money there, but I don't have any dollars for you." I started throwing the Canadian pennies across the counter (near the pizza ovens). Then everyone starts getting mad at me because I wouldn't move out of the way so they could order their pizza. I'm getting so mad. Then another guy comes into the store (I guess a coworker of the pizza guy or whatever), and starts yelling at the guy for putting a pile of pennies there. The guy and I finally get our food, and we meet some other guy who said his name was Bill. I had my notepad handy, and I wrote his name down. So we're eating, and the two pizza guys are totally yelling at each other in the background.

My friends show up and they are Motor Maid friends that I have. So we're all hanging out on the bench outside finishing up our pizza. Musa, the hottie from So You Think You Can Dance, shows up on this little scooter thing that hardly works. The Motor Maid girls and I are all excited to see him, and ask him if he's heading to the bars later, etc. He's very evasive. I don't know why cute boys always think they have to be SO cool. He sucked and when I tried to get his number, he gave me 6 numbers and wouldn't tell me the last one. What a tool. So then the guy Bill and I are talking with everyone and he tells someone that his name is Greg. I'm like 'You told me your name was Bill. I have it on my paper.' Then I look at my paper and Bill was what I had down. He starts making up some story about how he goes by Bill, but his name is Greg. I had a short attention span with him after that.

In the end, Musa left on his scooter that only went like 2mph, and I felt like the grease in my pizza was giving me a bad reaction. So I woke up and had to go potty. HA!!HA!! A disgusting end to a disgusting night. The pizza guy got fired on the spot because I made a scene, and I saw him huff out of the shop and throw down his apron, like Danica Patrick threw down her helmet and keys after her race the other day (I saw it on PTI).

Oh, and the moral was sometimes the things you do can affect people without you really knowing. I'm pretty sure that's a truth. I wonder if Musa fell off his scooter.

MySpace

Since I'm back to Stalking 101, I tried doing a search on myspace and it said I had to login in order to search. I know they've had some technical troubles, but I couldn't look at anyone's my space pages last night. For those that use it, have you been able to look at stuff, or no? I might have to become a myspacer so I can keep up with everyone.

The reason I was searching was because after the birthday dinner the other night, the other girl was mad that she had to pay. She was the one that set up the dinner, and the quirky waitress said that she could only take two credit cards. I don't know about you guys, but I don't carry a lot of cash with me anymore. Almost all of the people at the dinner had cards, but since the girl could only take two, Ryan's parents put their card in, a guy Jeff put his card in, and the girl put some cash in. Later she was mad that she had to pay. Had I known, I would've put my card in (all I had was one beer), or gotten cash out or whatever. I don't mind paying for someone's bday dinner, no matter who it is. The goal is for them to have a relaxing and fun time, socialize with friends and not worry about the cost. All I could say to Ryan was "Sorry. I don't know why she was mad."

And people think I'm cheap. Humph.
